The main element of the design is an irregular false ceiling with light troughs in the Living and Dining Areas. This distinctive feature not only adds visual interest but also serves as a reflection of the client's travel experiences and personality. The false ceiling extends from the ceiling to the wall, taking advantage of the rare high floor height in Hong Kong. Additionally, a 'shadow' is outlined on the floor using a different material, creating a visually striking effect.

To maintain a sense of simplicity and elegance, the color palette predominantly consists of white and beige, with black and grey furnishes in clean lines and proportions. This deliberate choice allows the unique ceiling design to take center stage while creating a harmonious and calming atmosphere.

The Hong Kong DeerHill Bay design is not only visually appealing but also functional. The layout of the master bedroom posed a challenge due to its curvy architectural structure and narrow space. However, Alain Wong successfully overcame this obstacle by combining two consecutive bedrooms and strategically placing a king-size bed in the middle of the room. This not only divides the space into a study area and a walk-in closet but also maximizes the use of the curvy window, creating a seamless flow throughout the room.

The Hong Kong DeerHill Bay project was completed in August 2011 and has since garnered recognition and acclaim. It was awarded the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in 2012 in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category. This accolade is a testament to the exceptional expertise, innovation, and artistic skill showcased in this design.
